The Milton Record

What Milton is proposing, building and deciding.

One public record of the development going up around you, the money the Town is spending, the people voting on it, and everyone asking for your vote in October — assembled from Milton’s own published documents, kept current, and free to read.

Milton votes in 62 days, on 26 October.

45 candidates are certified for the ballot. Every one of them is asked the same questions, and answers are published word for word — including from the candidates who do not reply.

About this record

Everything here is assembled from documents the Town of Milton and Halton Region already publish — notices, ward pages, the open-data map, the meeting calendar and eSCRIBE minutes. Figures are parsed by deterministic code and checked against the source document’s own stated totals; a language model writes the plain-English descriptions and never reads or computes a number.

An unanswered question is visibly unanswered. A wrong answer is invisible. That is why unverified figures are withheld instead of published, and why counts about named people always carry the coverage they were drawn from.

Run by Mike Shoss, independently, with no funding and no affiliation to the Town, the Region, or any candidate or campaign. No ads and nothing for sale; Google Analytics counts visits so the effort goes where people actually read — what that records. Corrections are acted on within 48 hours: themiltonrecord@gmail.com.
